Book Group📚
The Book Group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at the Church Centre at 7.00 pm to discuss the book we have all read that month and to recommend/discuss other books. It is an informal meeting over coffee and biscuits and all are welcome whether you have read the book under discussion or not! We try to read a variety of genres over the year in order to meet all tastes and to perhaps try something new! All are welcome.
The next meeting will be on January 28th 7.00 pm when we will be discussing The Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder.

Eastham Village Preservation Association (EVPA)
Eastham Village Preservation Association (EVPA) was formed 55 years to spearhead the campaign to rid Eastham village of petrol tankers, which drove through the village day and night. Part of the campaign was to protect this ancient village by making it a conservation area. That worked well; North Road was built and the petrol tankers had to use the new route to access the M53.
EVPA is still the village’s conservation area advisory committee , advising the Council on planning and tree applications within the Conservation Area. However, they now have additional roles and responsibilities with subgroups to monitor them. These are listed below:
- Eastham Traffic campaign
- Friends of Torr Park
- The Graveyard Team
- Bromborough Pool/Boat Museum Footpath
- Red Phone Box
- Preserve Eastham’s Victorian Pleasure Gardens
- Eastham Litter Pickers
- Floral displays
