- 10.00 am Sunday 6th October Harvest Festival with collection for the Wirral Foodbank
- 27th October 11.15 J4U. Our monthly family service with songs, 🎶 musical instruments 🥁 for all, fun, stories, prayers 🙏 cake 🍰 and a whole lot more. This is a very informal service aimed at children and their families. Come for 11.00 am for refreshments.

Regular Church Events
Little Gems 👩👧👨👩👧 Playgroup Tuesdays 9.30 am – 11.00 am at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake.
This is our carers’ and toddlers’ stay and play group. It’s an informal friendly playgroup group which runs in term time only. Dads, mums, grandparents & childminders are all welcome. Next session: Tuesday 17th September.
CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other)
Tuesdays 2.00 pm at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake.
This is a friendly meeting place for the people of Eastham and locality, particularly for senior citizens. Come along for a cuppa and cake. Entertainment includes: bingo, singalongs, visiting speakers and entertainment groups. Next meeting: Tuesday 17th September.

Place of Welcome Wednesdays from 11:15 am to 2.00pm at St Mary’s Parish Church
The church is open each week as a place of welcome 💒 to anyone who wants to pop in for a friendly chat, a drink and a light snack, for example, beans on toast. You don’t have to be a churchgoer – everyone is welcome and it is free. If you like, you can bring your knitting, or play scrabble, or bring along other hobbies and share them with us. Next meeting: Wednesday 18th September.
Meet and Eat at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake. On the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Soup and a sweet are served free of charge. This is followed by bingo. Everyone is welcome. Next Meetings: Friday 11.30 – 1.30 pm 27th September & 11th October.
Church Open for Prayer 🙏
The church is open every Friday and Saturday between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm.for people to look around and as a quiet space for private prayer and contemplation.
Sunday 22nd September Foodbank Sunday
We have decided to make the 4th Sunday of each month Foodbank Sunday. Those coming to any of our churches that day are invited to bring an item or two of non-perishable food if they are able to do so; this will include the J4U service. The advert below shows things the the Wirral Food bank need most.
We will also be collecting food for the food bank as part of our Harvest Festival on 6th October.
Thursday 26th September 10.30 am – 12.00 noon: Macmillan Coffee Morning ☕️🍰🧁at The Church Centre on Eastham Rake.
Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at the Church Centre on Eastham Rake featuring coffee, tea and delicious home made cake.🍰 There will also be cakes on sale, so come along and bring your friends to support this very worthy cause.
💒⛪️🛐 6th October: Harvest 6.30 pm Evening Service at Bromborough Methodist Church 🎶
This joyful harvest service is organised by Churches Together in Bromborough and Eastham (CTBE). Methodist, Roman Catholic and United Reformed Churches are involved. There will be lots of joyful singing.
Shoe Box Appeal 🎁🎄🎅🏻
As in previous years, Nikki Matthews, one of our pastoral workers, is intending to send shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts to children who would not otherwise receive gifts.
More information will be available in in October, but in the meantime if you have any empty shoeboxes that she can use, please contact us via our church email address: contactstmaryseastham@gmail.com (shoeboxes can be collected) or you could bring them to church if that is easier.
Bible Study at the Church Centre.
Our fortnightly Bible study group led by Nikki Matthews will resume in October and November.
Meetings will be at 7.00 pm on the following dates:
