Information about regular church services and our usual weekly events is now on our regular events page. The information on this page is for special events which are not part of our regular routine.

Everyday Faith – Podcast Recording
A panel of ordinary local Christians will be discussing how small shifts in our daily habits impact the people we meet each day, in the places where God places us throughout the week, outside of our church walls.
You are invited to come and meet with other ordinary Christians, to listen and join the conversation. Let’s encourage each other to share ideas of how we can be Good News among the people where God has uniquely placed us, wherever we are throughout the week.
The discussion will be chaired by Ruth Bull, part of the Everyday Faith group at Chester Diocese. The discussion will be recorded as a podcast for Chester Diocese Be inspired! Be part of the audience! Join in with the conversation!

Ash Wednesday 18th February

7.00 pm Evening Service for Ash Wednesday at St Mary’s Parish Church
Rev’d Best Glover will preach and preside at a special evening service of Holy Communion as we enter into the season of Lent.
Lent
Together with other Churches in Bromborough and Eastham during Lent we will be following a Lent Course produced last year by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. The course is based around the Nicene Creed of which the 1700th anniversary was in 2025 and is titled “Christian Unity in a Fragmenting World”. The themes for the five weeks of Lent will be:

- Renewing and deepening our commitment to unity
- The Church as a wounded healer
- Reaching across borders
- Journeying forward together in hope
- A new agenda for peace
There will be house groups in each of the five weeks of Lent (groups of six to eight people meeting in peoples’ homes) together with evening talks led by one of the local ministers Wednesdays (25th February, 4th, 11th,18th and 25th March) at 7.30 pm in Bromborough Methodist Church, Allport Lane, CH62 7HW.
Week 1 of the House Groups will start with the week beginning Monday 23rd February. If you would be able to host a group please contact Philip or Helen Mayles via our website contact email: contactstmaryseastham@gmail.com
We aim to have groups on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and either Friday afternoon or evening. Lists will be available to sign up from Sunday 1st February.
