Little Gems 👩👧👨👩👧 Playgroup Tuesdays 9.30 am – 11.00 am at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake.
This is our carers’ and toddlers’ stay and play group. It’s an informal friendly playgroup group which runs in term time only. Dads, mums, grandparents & childminders are all welcome. There is no charge for this group.
Although we start at 9.30 am, we know that babies can be unpredictable so arrival time is flexible with free play until 10.15. At 10.15 am the children get a snack and drinks followed by a sing song, a story from the Bible and craft.
All are welcome from new born until preschool age. It’s a chance to make new friends and chat. New members and new mums are very welcome. Next session: Tuesday 9th December
CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other)
Tuesdays 2.00 pm at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake.
This is a friendly meeting place for the people of Eastham and locality, particularly for senior citizens. Come along for a cuppa and cake. Entertainment includes: bingo, singalongs, visiting speakers and entertainment groups. CAMEO’S Christmas Lunch will be on 16th December and the meal will be followed by Christmas Carols led by St Mary’s Church Choir. The group will have two week’s break for Christmas and will resume on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
Place of Welcome Wednesdays from 11:15 am to 2.00pm at St Mary’s Parish Church
The church is open each week as a place of welcome 💒 to anyone who wants to pop in for a friendly chat, a drink and a light snack, for example, beans on toast. You don’t have to be a churchgoer – everyone is welcome and it is free. If you like, you can bring your knitting, or play scrabble, or bring along other hobbies and share them with us. Next meeting: Wednesday 10th December.
Thursdays 10.00 – 11.15 Table Talk in Eastham Library
A friendly group meeting in the local library just talking about the Arts in the broadest sense of the word, and often looking at poetry, as well as chatting and supporting each other.
There will be no Table Talk meeting on 4th December because the library is closed for a staff meeting.

The Net@73 (Community Partnerships and Friendships)
The Net@73 are currently meeting at the Church Centre on Eastham Rake while repairs are underway at Clifton Avenue. You are welcome to join us for coffee and cake on Fridays 10am – 12 noon.
The Net@73 is a community space in 73 Clifton Avenue, Mill Park. It is a partnership between Mill Park Tenants’ and Residents’ Committee, Magenta Living and St. Mary’s Parish Church. The Net@73 is a community ‘drop-in centre’ providing interesting life skill courses, food, family fun and friendship.
Meet and Eat at the Church Centre in Eastham Rake. On the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Soup and a sweet are served free of charge, but a donation towards the cost of food would be most welcome. The meal is followed by bingo. Everyone is welcome.

Church Open for Prayer 🙏 & Visits
The church is open every Friday and Saturday between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm for people to look around and as a quiet space for private prayer and contemplation.
